I guess this is goodbye

The year I’ve spent on this roleplay, with all of you, has been the most inspiring time for me. A lot of you are new and I haven’t known you that long. Some of you, I’ve known the whole time. Phoebe’s been my safe haven for such a long time, I’m really sad to leave her. Rest assured, she would have cookies for you all if she could.

I’m terribly sorry for my lack of activity lately, the thing that ultimately led to my removal. I hope you all know it was never anything about you guys. I’ve loved roleplaying with you, and I’d do it every second if I could. It’s my own stupid fault for not telling the admins where I was and what I was doing. Not anything to do with this group.

I love you all, I will miss you all. I’m never going to forget the awesome times we’ve had together. I’m leaving this blog up untouched for posterity.

I’ll miss you. I really will.

Library Conversations | Caradoc and Phoebe

“I’m not really sure.” Phoebe smiled a bit when he did, sliding into a seat. “I think so, probably. I mean… my dad worked for the Ministry. And it does interest me a lot.”

“Yeah, of course.” Pulling out a small tin, Phoebe opened it up to reveal chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies. She pushed the tin to him across the table. “It’s my personal opinion that there are very few problems that can’t be softened by a cookie or two.”

“Well I’m sure you’ll be great in it!” he said encouragingly.

Doc blinked when he saw the cookies in the tin. “Wow…” he breathed out and reached out to grab an oatmeal cookie. Living with Alexander and his father meant that sweets were not exactly welcomed so he was used to eating meat and bread for the most part.

“Wow…” he bit into it, relishing the taste. “This cookie…I like it.”

He made a grab for another one. “ANOTHER.”

"Thanks, Cardoc."

Phoebe laughed, especially when he yelled for another. She waved him on. She wouldn’t really have minded if he ate the whole tin. Cookies were easy to make, worry less easy to cast off. “I’m glad you like them.”

“That’s amazing…” Doc said appreciatively and flashed her a smile. “You’re thinking of working in wizarding law then?” he asked, hoping to make up for some of the awkward situations they had earlier.

Doc grinned and chuckled. “A cookie?” he raised both eyebrows in surprise. He never been offered cookies in times of stress before, was she serious?

Library Conversations | Caradoc and Phoebe

Caradoc frowned as he sat on an empty table in the library. He wondered if he should do the same thing that Josephine did and write a letter pleading his case to not get expelled. He frowned and stared at the blank parchment, wondering what could he possibly say that would change things.

Phoebe was walking through the library, carrying a rather large book on one hip to the checkout desk. It was a matter of chance that she happened to notice Cardoc sitting alone. She recognized him only from a short conversation in the halls, one that had turned a bit awkward at the mention of her scars. She was tempted to keep walking. And yet… he looked a bit upset. Phoebe sighed, turning and walking to the table.

“Hey, are you okay?”

Caradoc blinked at the parchment and looked up at her. “Hello Phoebe.” he said, sighing and tapping a finger on the table. “Yeah sure…why not?” he said, obviously lying as he noticed her balancing a large book on her hip. He reached out and carefully grabbed it. “What’s this?” he asked.

"Oh, um…" Phoebe shrugged, resisting the urge to fidget when he took the book. "Most Influential Trials of The Wizengamot. Just a pleasure read, you know.” She wasn’t embarrassed, precisely, that her secret love of wizarding law was being thrown into the open. It was just, well, that it had been secret and now it wasn’t.

"Look, I know you say you’re okay, but you seem worried. Do you need a cookie?"
